Today, my friends, it is all about dancing with rhythms…
According to wikipedia, Rhythm is “the variation of the length and accentuation of a series of sounds or other events.” A common rhythm instrument is the snare drum, often producing a main “heartbeat” for class. However, along with the main heartbeat, there are many other instruments providing rhythms within rhythms. One thing I soooooo love about Nia is that we get to use alllllllll kinds of music, at all kinds of speeds, with all kinds of rhythms… each providing us little details and special nuances to dance with! read more
