savoring the non-doing
Hello! Today we will be focusing on connecting to and sensing the nourishing benefits of “non-doing.”
One of my absolute f-a-v-o-r-i-t-e Nia Principles is Nia White Belt Principle #5: Awareness. Principle #5 is BIG and it has drastically changed how I experience my body and my life! And I’ve only begun to tap into it’s depth…
Today we are going to explore one aspect of Principle #5, Awareness, and that is: living meditation. Living meditation refers to paying attention to and sensing moments of “non-doing” in our body. Sensing these moments of rest, relaxation, calm, ahhhhhh, and p-e-a-c-e helps to balance out all of the “doing” of the day, nourishing our body, mind, emotions, and spirit!
dynamic ease – part 2 – integrate – systemic flow
There are two main ways that we play with the Nia concept of Dynamic Ease.

Do your toes turn in or out? Is your pelvis tilted forward, back, or to one side? read more
the art of waiting
With the excitement that comes with Spring, it is likely that you’ve been on the go go go. I know I have been. I began to write, write, write… create, create, create…. do do do…. be busy busy busy… add more more more. And then… BAM! Today I hit the wall. It was too much. Too much stimulation. Too much to doing. Too amped up all the time. Not enough rest… read more
measuring tapes and time travel
Hello! Happy Sunday! This afternoon our focus is going to be on what we in Nia refer to as “measurement.” In Nia, measurement refers to paying attention to the height, width and distance of our movements. We can do this easily by paying attention to our fingers and toes in relationship to our center, each other, walls, etc. read more
